Fenland artist and framer Nick Tearle has given Common Ground permission to use his painting Rays of Hope, 2024, and a reflection on the scale, sky and crosswinds of the Fens as a participant story prompt.
Artist and framer Nick Tearle has given Common Ground permission to use Rays of Hope, 2024, alongside a reflection on how the scale of the Fenland landscape affects the way he sees himself within it.
The contribution works as a prompt rather than a template: spend longer with a familiar horizon, sky or crosswind and notice what changes when the landscape stops being background.
A creative contribution rooted in the Fens
A participant might respond through writing, audio, photography, film or simply observation. The important thing is that their own story remains theirs.
